Starting school is an exciting time for young children and their families.
The parent/guardian is responsible for the safety and conduct of the child/children on the way to and from the bus stop and while they are waiting at the bus stop.
Drivers operating the school buses are highly trained, considerate and courteous and always ensure that the rules of the road are applied at all times. Students are trained in our School Bus Patroller Program to assist the younger students entering and exiting the bus, crossing the road and to help the driver in the event of an emergency.
The First Time Rider Program is designed for JK and SK students includes a safety video Pooh's Great Bus Adventure!.

Parents can determine what school their child should attend and eligible transportation by simply using the BusPlanner School Eligibility Search
When a new student moves into the area or an existing student moves to a new address, an Application for Transportation must be completed by the parent-guardian.
When completed, the form must be returned to the school to be signed by a school official. Once approved, the form will be faxed or emailed to Tri-Board Student Transportation Services and after reviewing the form, it will be determined whether the student is eligible for transportation from that location or whether they are within the walking area of the school.
If the student is not eligible for transportation, the school will be notified by email that transportation has been denied. If the student is eligible for transportation, the school will receive a "postcard" by email from Tri-Board Student Transportation Services, indicating the transportation information for the student(s). The school is responsible to contact the parent/guardian and give them the bussing information for their child, or to let them know that their child is not eligible for transportation.
Should your child have any medical conditions, please complete the Medical Information Release Form so we can notify the bus company. The bus company will make sure that the bus driver is aware of those conditions and know how to respond, should a medical emergency involving your child, occur while on the bus.
Question: Does Tri-Board provide transportation to or from a Caregiver’s address when required, as well as to the home address?
Answer: Transportation may be provided to a Caregiver’s address if it is within the same school boundary and if there is seating space available on the bus. Transportation will not be provided to a location outside of the school boundary. A Transportation Application form would need to be completed showing the Care-giver’s address, signed by the Principal and forwarded to this office. The application will then be returned to the school indicating approval or denial of the request.
